Augusta is a place of polar opposites.
Last spring I was covering the Junior Invitational(a big golf tourney) at Sage Valley in South Carolina and had a couple hours off one night to check out the area. I spent about 4 hours exploring the area on foot and by car. From the Civil War era to the Modern, it’s right there side by side. On one side of the street will be a multi-million dollar building and across the street an abandoned church or chicken shack. Southern culture is on display in the architecture in the sky and on the faces of the people passing by.
Whether you’re into street photography or not, Augusta is a fascinating place of interest for the history buff, you’re taste buds, or your golf club. So what are you waiting for? Go.
