We talked not so long ago about the number of emails I receive each month regarding subjects of interest to readers all over the world and how I have bowed in response and added as many of those items as possible.
The latest in line is the subject of cinematography, stuff like cine movies, both the Super 8/Standard 8 type we used to use way back in the 70s, to the professional level film as used in the production of mainstream films. This last area has now been taken over by the digital demon, namely Betacam SP and it’s derivatives….correct me if I’m wrong.
But 35mm cine film is still being used, so I will try and research this before presenting any articles here.
Needless to say, it seems there are people the world over who want to know about these subjects, judging by the large amount of emails I keep getting.
I had actually thought about starting another completely separate blog for this, but I am, like everybody else, shackled by that old enemy, Father Time, so to make it easier, I will add another page to this very blog, where we can go to discuss cinematography. In a sense, we are partly covering that field anyway, with our look at film noir category page, but I suppose adding a specific page just for cine will be better in the long run.
Hope you all will like this new addition, and will let me know of developments and/or anecdotes for inclusion here.
