And then we complain when an animal attacks a human…

Just saw this photo today.

Two young girls told to stand by their parents in front of the gorilla and show him those appetising bananas.

You can see the distress it’s causing the animal. Luckily, the kids are relatively safe behind a glass wall, but what kind of parent asks his/her children to do such a foolish thing like this?

The animal has already been torn away from it’s natural environment and placed forcibly in a totally different, man-made enclosure, for the rest of it’s life, enduring daily taunts and teasing from gawking humans. On top of that, it is being tormented by food which it cannot get it’s hands on.

Until we learn to respect all other species we share the planet with, there cannot be peace and harmony for us, no matter how enriched our lives become materially.

People like this should have respect for the animals around them. That gorilla could break that glass if it was pushed hard enough.

What is that parent telling their kids? It’s okay to torment animals? How about they put them in a cage and see how they like being tormented

This is outrageous! What kind of lesson is being taught here? Animals have feelings too and do not deserve to be tormented. A few months back I visited the Jacksonville Zoo (Florida). I left so depressed I don’t think I ever want to visit a zoo again. It was my first sad to say since I am a senior citizen and as mentioned more than likely my last.
