I’ve had some emails enquiring about when I plan to do another street shoot in Vancouver this year.
Let me explain here that setting up a street shoot session for a group of people is a little different from doing one just by yourself! That’s pretty elementary to understand.
With a group, I have to arrange to take payments, arrange somewhere to meet, arrange somewhere to take a break half way through and then finally arrange for one last place to sit and muse about how the day went etc, etc. Arrange, arrange, arrange!
All that takes time and energy, and if for some reason we have to cancel it due to an unforeseen problem (in Vancouver, it’s mainly the rain!), all that work goes to waste, as happened this January when I had to cancel a session due to bad weather.
So; I’m working on a street session for later this year…possibly August or September.
Until then, I’ll keep you posted on developments. For those of you cannot attend personally, I’m also working on a street shooting course that you can receive by email, wherever you are in the world. That again I will let you know when it’s ready.
Meantime, there’s a 1001 things we can discuss about film and film cameras!
