As many of my readers know, I have a somewhat large collection of cameras, gathered over the years.
My house is a camera collector’s haven, with cameras poking out of almost every nook and cranny. I even have cameras in my bedroom, and my poor wife has given up complaining about the lack of space to put her stuff. I really feel sorry for her….any other woman would have done one of 2 things….either kicked me out of the house, or left the house herself. Mind you, the wife came close to leaving in the early days, until I kinda relented and moved some of my cameras to a garden shed (sorry….3 garden sheds..!).
But of course, having your stuff in the garden sheds is no damn good when you need one item and it’s raining cats and dogs out there or whatever, so the cameras keep creeping back indoors again, only to be kicked out by my wife back into the sheds! Honestly, it’s like a comedy show at my place!
And with the extra work that’s resulted from running this blog, she has refused to help answer, read or even open my emails, point blank. That’s why I posted my request for a lady to help me with my work ( by the way, if any prospective lady is seriously thinking about coming to work for me…don’t worry, dear…the wife goes off to work in the mornings and doesn’t get back till 6pm, so she won’t disturb us…you…working…ahem, ahem…..!).
Anyway, here’s what camera collecting can do to you, so think very carefully before you start:
