Just a couple of days ago, I wrote a short article about what street shooting is all about, or should be all about.
That article must have attracted a lot of readers’ attentions, judging by the number of emails I have had! And 99% of the messages have asked me for more of that stuff.
I’m always pleased to bend to public opinion, especially that which comes about as a result of posts on here. So today, I managed to find another photo, that shows you public scene. Here it is:
Ok; going back to what we talked about last time, street shots should always give something back to the viewer, something that he/she can take away…an idea, an impression, a story, a tale, a feeling or whatever.
Looking at the photo above, it is a little difficult to see what I mean, so to make it very clear, see what happens when I cut sections of that photo out, and display them on their own….each cut section magically comes alive with its own story to tell:
This shows that no matter where we look at a shot of a good street scene, every little nook and cranny in that shot will be of appeal.
And surely, that’s what every street shooter is after?
