I don’t know what it is, but ever since I was a child, out of the ordinary things, whatever or wherever they may be, have always fascinated me.
I remember, I must have been no more than 4 or 5 years old, sitting down in the grass in our garden, and wondering what a wonderful world it could be, living as something small amongst the blades of grass.
I wondered what the grass would look like if I was just a tiny speck on the ground. Then I spotted a little blue flower, some very small wild species….I plucked it off the plant and just marvelled at it’s colours, how small it was, how perfectly formed.
These little things most probably formed the basis of what creativity there is in my mind now I suppose. If I hadn’t been exposed to those things, I don’t think I would still be sitting here, totally astounded at the beauty of things around me…rays of sunlight piercing through the windows, breaking into the darkness, etc.
Maybe that’s also why my eye automatically homes in to things people normally don’t even look at? Call it abstract sight or whatever. That forms the basis of this selection of shots here, abstract views all around us:
